Chris Kemlo - 2006/07
GGCD is expecting big things from its lanky 196cm pitching import, Chris Kemlo.
The 23 year-old Canadian, timed by the speed gun at upwards of 145km/h, helped the club to its first win under coach Paul Haynes when it defeated Sturt 11-4 last month.
Kemlo was recommended to the club after a great season with the Edmonton Crackercats in the Canadian league and was secured by club sponsor Gotta Getta Group. Drafted by the New York Yankees when he was 17, Kemlo played Rookie Ball for that organisation in the Gulf Coast League in Florida. The following year was spent in the mid-west league before he was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks where he played a short season in the A league.
Everyone at Golden Grove Central Districts Baseball Club wishes Chris a very warm welcome to Adelaide and an enjoyable stay with us!
